Transportation Electrification

VCREA, funded by the EV Ready Communities Challenge Grant, administers the implementation of the EV Blueprint with the help of Community Environmental Council, Ventura County Air Pollution Control District, EV Alliance, and Ventura County Regional Energy Alliance.

The Ventura County EV Ready Blueprint is intended to accelerate and support electric vehicle and charging infrastructure deployment throughout Ventura County. Adoption of Electric Vehicles will benefit Ventura County residents in many ways, including: lowering fueling costs for drivers (charging at home overnight is like paying $1.50/gallon!), lowering vehicle maintenance costs (no more oil changes!), reducing pollution and cleaning air (no tailpipe emissions!), and facilitating a smooth transition from fossil fuels to clean transportation.

The Clean Vehicle Rebate Project (CVRP) offers three different fleet programs for the purchase or lease of new, eligible zero-emission and plug-in hybrid light-duty electric vehicles (EVs).

California’s Hybrid and Zero-Emission Truck and Bus Voucher Incentive Project (HVIP) plays a crucial role in the deployment of zero-emission and near-zero-emission technologies. HVIP accelerates commercialization by providing point-of-sale vouchers to make advanced vehicles more affordable.

The Charge Ready Transport Program gives your business the opportunity to install the infrastructure to support a fleet of medium- and heavy-duty electric vehicles (EVs) at low or no cost to you.

The Clean Off-Road Equipment Voucher Incentive Project (CORE) is a $125 million project intended to encourage California off-road equipment users to purchase or lease currently commercialized zero-emission off-road equipment. This streamlined voucher incentive project helps offset the higher cost of zero-emission technology with a point-of-sale discount.

To help your commercial business, multi-family property, or electric vehicle (EV) fleet make the transition to EV technology, our Transportation Electrification Advisory Services team can assist with a customized, high-level EV Readiness Study. Studies are conducted at no-cost and can help determine the feasibility of your specific electrification project.

There are many funding opportunities for zero-emission vehicles that vary in both form and complexity, especially in California. We currently offer grant writing webinars where customers can engage directly with our experts, receive help toward writing more effective grant applications, and learn about EV funding opportunities.
