The Ventura County Regional Energy Alliance (VCREA) is committed to helping our local government partners achieve the greatest possible greenhouse gas and energy consumption reductions by providing centralized access to Southern California Gas Company (SoCalGas) and Southern California Edision (SCE) wide array of energy efficiency programs. The key goal is to assist the County and the 10 local cities lead by example in addressing energy efficiency first in their own municipal buildings. We work to help local jurisdictions identify savings opportunities and prioritize projects so that less of their budget goes toward paying utility bills, and more goes toward supporting their mission.
Since 2004, VCREA has implemented the Local Government Partnership (LGP) program and delivered energy savings to municipal customers. The LGP program is currently funded by California ratepayers and administered by VCREA in collaboration with SoCalGas to serve the entire Ventura region.
